Baking for Diabetics?
Are you looking for a way to cut down on carbs and still bake?
We have 2 diabetics in the family and I've been looking for anything
to help! I just recently found this:
Carbquik
We'll be able to have pancakes again!
I can't wait! And... they also have a low-carb flour!

QUICK BREAD
Quick bread is made with baking soda or baking powder, which is why
it's called "quick." Baking powder didn't become a common cooking
ingredient until the 20th century and entered common usage in the
1930s. I have a wonderful cookbook from 1917 which was put out by
the makers of Ryzon Baking Powder. The book is clearly written to
promote and educate about this relatively new product! ;-)
Banana Bread is one of the most familiar Quick Breads and made its
appearance on the scene in the 1930s but didn't become REALLY
popular until the 1950s when bananas became easy to get. (I have
several good recipes for Banana Bread, including
Cream Cheese Banana Bread.)
