PANCAKE RECIPES

This recipe is one of the easiest I've seen. ;-)
One of the challenges to good pancakes is judging the cooking...
temperature of griddle or skillet, how long to cook on the first
side... it just takes practice!
I inherited my grandmother's cast iron griddle (which I treasure).
Unfortunately, I don't use it often enough to keep it well seasoned,
so I always figure on losing the first few pancakes in any batch...

EASY PANCAKES |

Ingredients |
●1 c. flour
●1 tsp. soda
●1 tsp. baking powder
●3 tbsp. sugar
●2 tbsp. oil
●Pinch of salt
●1 egg
●1 c. buttermilk OR 1 tbsp. vinegar in 1 c. milk
● Butter for serving
● Syrup for serving |

Mixing Bowl
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons Pourable Container |
Griddle OR Skillet
Wide Turner OR Spatula |
| Step by Step |
● Mix ingredients together in
Mixing Bowl
● Put into pourable container or use ladle
● Grease griddle OR Skillet
● Heat griddle according to the manufacturer
directions
● Pour about 1/3 cup of batter onto griddle per
pancake
● Cook until edge is dry and bubbles cover top of
pancake surface
● Turn with wide spatula
● Cook 35-45 seconds longer until browned on
both sides
● Do not flip more than once
● Repeat with remaining batter
● Keep warm in oven while finishing cooking the
rest
● Serve with butter and syrup
● Enjoy! |
