Are you looking for a way to cut down on carbs and still bake?
We have 2 diabetics in the family and I've been looking for anything to help! I just recently found this:

BREAD MACHINE RECIPES

How to convert from one size Bread Machine to another!

If you look to the left, you will see inks to some AWESOME Bread Machine Recipes!

If you find a recipe that looks REEEEALLY good and it is for a different size machine, have no fear, I have listed some options below!

One of the most puzzling challenges of Bread Machine Baking is converting a recipe from one size machine to another.

There are four common loaf sizes:

1 lb. which uses about 2 cups of flour

1 1/2 lb. which uses about 3 cups of flour

2 lb. which uses about 4 cups of flour

2 1/2 lb. which uses about 5 cups of flour

Here is a table to help you figure out the math:

From a 1 lb loaf multiply by:

X 1.5 for a 1 1/2 lb loaf

X 2 for a 2 lb loaf

X 2.5 for a 2 1/2 lb loaf

From a 1 1/2 lb loaf multiply by:

X .667 for a 1 lb loaf

X 1.333 for a 2 lb loaf

X 1.67 for a 2 1/2 lb loaf

From a 2 lb loaf, multiply by:

X .5 for a 1 lb loaf

X .75 for a 1 1/2 lb loaf

X 1.25 for a 2 1/2 lb loaf

From a 2 1/2 lb loaf, multiply by:

X .4 for a 1 lb loaf

X .6 for a 1 1/2 lb loaf

X .8 for a 2 lb loaf

Converting recipes between different size bread machines can be a challenge!

This is especially true when converting to a smaller machine, since you can accidentally  overload your machine... NOT a good thing!

After using the chart above, with odd measurements.  Use your best judgment when you measure out your ingredients and double check the amounts.

Here are some other guidelines to help you:

* 1-pound loaf takes about 7/8 cup liquid and 2 3/4 cups flour.

* 1.5-pound loaf takes about 1 cup liquid and 3 cups flour.

* 2-pound loaf takes about 1 1/3 cup liquid and 4 cups flour.
