This YUMMY recipe isn't formed into individual biscuits, but
don't hold that against it!
This Onion Cheese Bread is based on the
THE ARMCHAIR CHEF'S *Can Do ALMOST Anything BISCUIT MIX*
(See recipe at bottom of page.)

ONION CHEESE BREAD |
| Imagine warn wedges of this delicious
bread, dripping butter... paired with a large bowl of
homemade soup. |

Ingredients |
● 2 cups *Can
Do ALMOST Anything BISCUIT MIX*
● 1/2 cup cold water
● 1 tablespoon minced onion
● 3/4 cup shredded sharp cheese
● 1 tablespoon soft butter
● 1 teaspoon poppy seed
● shortening to grease pan |

Large Mixing Bowl
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Cheese Grater |
Sharp knife or chopper for onions
9" Pie Pan |
| Step by Step |
● Preheat oven
to 400 degrees F
● Combine in a large mixing bowl:
*Can Do ALMOST Anything BISCUIT MIX*
cold water
minced onion
● Blend in shredded sharp cheese
● Spread dough in well-greased 9-inch pie pan
● Spread top with soft butter
● Sprinkle with poppy seed
● Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until light brown
● Cut into wedges
● Serve and enjoy! |

| This is an EXTREMELY versatile mix that
can be used to make everything from Biscuits to Pancakes
or Waffles to Dumpling to Cornbread to Cake to... well,
you get the idea. You'll be seeing it on many of my
Baking and Cooking sites, so start looking for a
wonderful large jar or canister to store it in, because
I predict that you'll be using it a LOT! |

Ingredients |
● 9 cups sifted
all-purpose flour
● 1/3 cup baking powder
● 1 tablespoon salt
● 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
● 4 tablespoons granulated
sugar
● 2 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk
solids
● 2 cups shortening (which does
not
require refrigeration) |

Pastry blender |
Flour Sifter
Large, tightly sealed jar of canister |
| Step by Step |
●Sift together flour,
baking powder, salt, cream of tartar and sugar three
times.
●Add dry milk.
●Mix well.
●Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture
looks like cornmeal.
●Store in covered container at room temperature.
NOTE: Measure the *Can Do ALMOST Anything Baking Mix* by piling it lightly into cup and leveling it off with a table
knife. |
